Each type of boiler has its pros and cons depending on the household and property needs.
Gas boilers come in combi, system, and regular variants and are highly efficient for smaller homes. These are also the most common boiler as the majority of homes are connected to a gas mains.
Oil boilers also come in combi, system, and regular variants and are ideal for properties where oil can be stored. Oil boilers are often used for more rural locations.
LPG boilers are available in combi, and system variants and have low carbon emissions. Perfect for homes without a connection to a gas mains.
Commercial Gas boilers can heat large spaces to keep your staff warm throughout the year. Generally commercial boilers will only be available in system or Regular as the hot water will require a seperate source of heat (Cylinder)
Air Conditioning comes in single units or multiple units to heat and cool up to 5 rooms at a time. The Hot water will require a seperate source of heat (Cylinder)
With years of experience, our heating engineers will be able to assess your home and its needs to advice of the best possible boiler solution.
As a Worcester Bosch Accredited installer we provide four types of boilers, with varying models within each type. These types of boilers are: Gas, Commercial gas, Oil, and LPG boilers as well as air conditioning, meaning we can work on, service and install almost any heat source you may have.
The 3 main types of boilers are heat only (regular), system boilers and Combi boilers, our engineers will assess your current setup and work out what the best solution for your home will be.
A boiler installation can vary in cost depending on what type of boiler you need as well as if you're moving the boiler location.
Our engineers can advise you on the right boiler for you and your home and provide a free, no obligation quote.
The length of an installation can range from one day, to up to four or five, depending on the type of boiler you purchase, your household situation and the location.
Here at J & S Plumbing and Heating we believe in doing the job right so we will ensure the boiler is fitted to manufacturer regulations as well as Building regulations to ensure your boiler works perfectly throughout its lifetime.
This means that your warranty wont be voided by the manufacturer if there is ever a problem and you will have complete peace of mind that your boiler will stand the test of time.
Our heating engineers will be able to let you know how long your installation is likely to take within the quoting process.
It is recommended that you get your boiler serviced annually.
It allows your boiler to stay in good working condition and helps to find any small issues before they become big issues.
An annual service is also normally a condition of your boiler warranty/guarantee staying valid.
If you keep your boiler well maintained it is recommended that you replace your boiler every 10-15 years.
We would recommend you replace your boiler when the repairs start to get too expensive as a new boiler could save you money in the long term.
Our team will be able to assess and let you know if it's best you repair or replace your boiler.
If problems have already arisen with your boiler, it is paramount that you get it checked as early as possible to keep repair costs down. Dont leave your boiler with leaks or issues as this can often cause more serious issues. Getting your boiler fixed as soon as possible can reduce costly additional repairs later on.
The best way to check if your boiler is economical is through the energy efficiency rating that every boiler has. As technology advances, modern boilers are more economical than older models.
We're all about maximising your energy efficiency here at J&S Plumbing and Heating so we'll always do our best to make sure your boiler and central heating system is economical and as energy efficient as possible as well as ensuring your boiler is set up to maximum efficiency on every service.
As technology advances, New boilers can now be running your heating system at 3kw per hour instead of 30 kw per hour (this is called range rating)
This would reduce your gas bill by up to 30% per year
